Dreaming. Leaving.

Life is only a series of leaving.

A life long account of dreaming.

Every face I see,

Every heart I know,

Ends up leaving me in the cold.

My dreams are the only friends I know,

But even on dark days, I’m left alone.

Lone wolf,

Forgotten doe,

My bitter thoughts are my only foe.

Everything keeps leaving except the demons inside,

Them, I pry, I be, I cry,

Please leave me!

Please let me free!

When people forget you,

When your dream has met its end,

Why is it the good leaves so fast?

Why is it that the bad always comes back?

Merriam-Webster's Dictionary defines a dream as, "a series of thoughts, visions, or feelings that happen during sleep; an idea or vision that is created in your imagination and that is not real; something that you have wanted very much to do, be, or have for a long time." Why dream only while we sleep? Who can say our dreams are not real? What is hindering us from our daydreams being our reality?
